What your testers experience
No account, no task: what a DASHUND test looks like for a tester. · 3 min readFor your testers, a DASHUND test is like using an app, nothing more.
What they do
- They open the link, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
- They use the prototype like a real product, full screen.
- They have no account to create, no task to follow, no survey to fill in.
What they see
- The prototype, and only the prototype. The browser tab carries the prototype’s name.
- A discreet loading indicator: on mobile, Figma often takes 8 to 14 seconds to load a prototype.
- On the Free plan, a small “Powered by DASHUND” mention below the prototype, without covering it. It disappears on paid plans.
- If the DASHUND link is turned off or the prototype paused: “This prototype is no longer available”.
What counts as a session
A session starts when the prototype has finished loading, and ends when the page is closed or after 5 minutes without a click or a screen change. Someone who leaves while it’s loading is counted separately, as an “abandoned load”. Reloading the page within 5 minutes extends the same session; two open tabs make two sessions.
