Testers’ privacy
What DASHUND collects, and what it never collects. · 3 min readDASHUND measures how a prototype is used, not who uses it. Your testers have no account, and DASHUND knows neither their name nor their email address.
What is recorded
- The screens shown and the time spent on each, screen changes.
- Clicks and their position in the prototype.
- Device type, browser, OS, language, screen size.
- The country, inferred from the IP address at the start of the session.
- A random identifier, specific to each prototype, kept in the browser to tell a first visit from a later one.
What never is
- The tester’s name, email address or any other identity.
- Typed text and keystrokes.
- The IP address: it’s only used, in the moment, to infer the country; it’s stored nowhere, neither in the database nor in logs.
Where the data is
Data is hosted in the European Union, at OVHcloud, in France. The prototype itself is displayed by Figma, which may set its own cookies.
All the details are in the privacy policy.
