Choose how screens are displayed
Fitted to the width of the tester’s window, or visible in full like in Figma. · 2 min readYour testers open the prototype on screens of every size. In the prototype’s Settings, the Preview card lets you choose how DASHUND displays it.
Automatic (default)
- A desktop screen fills the whole width of the window, enlarged or shrunk, and scrolls vertically.
- A phone screen is shown in full, or fitted to the width if it’s very long.
It’s the right choice for most prototypes: the result stays readable on mobile and on large screens.
Whole screen
Each screen is visible in full, shrunk if needed to fit the window (never enlarged), and centered, like in Figma’s player. Around it, margins in the background color set in the prototype settings in Figma. Choose it if your prototype is designed at a fixed size and should be seen at a glance.
Switch display
Turn Whole screen on or off at any time, even once the prototype is live. Testers who open a DASHUND link afterwards see the new display. Click positions stay exact either way: your heatmaps don’t change.
The Settings preview follows your choice, at a smaller scale. To see the real display, open your DASHUND link (your session will count like a tester’s).
